AGR’s Autumn/Winter 2023 collection, ‘Creativity is Power’ boasts an exciting collaboration with Smiley, alongside prints from UK based artist, Nikki Hare, splashed across AGR’s best-selling silhouettes and lightweight knits.

Creative Director and Founder, Alicia Robinson, joined forces with the ‘Smiley Future Creatives Fund’, an initiative with big sustainability goals at the forefront of their mission. Both brands aligned harmoniously on AGR’s psychedelic, playful take on the iconic Smiley logo, placed onto this seasons’ graphic tracksuits, printed puffers and knitted pointelle elastics. Each Smiley x AGR collection piece was consciously made in line with the UN’s Sustainability Goals.

Robinson collaborated with artist Nikki Hare after discovering her use of typography art, layering techniques and colourful messaging. Delving into the power behind affirmations and colour therapy, Robinson & Hare selected words such as ‘balance’, ‘growth’ and the collection title ‘creativity is power’ for a bespoke piece of artwork. Hare’s artwork was manipulated with printing techniques and diamanté embellishment across the collections’ 90’s inspired pleated skirts,matching sets and mohair jumpers. Further inspiration for the collection came from the geometrical tiling Robinson saw whilst travelling through the bustling streets of Lisbon. In true AGR fashion, innovative techniques such as laser printing and gloss binding were used to amplify these traditional tiled patterns onto denim and puffers.

For this season's lookbook AGR teamed up with stylist, Matthew Joseph and photographer,

Andrew Vowles. Leaning into AGR’s ‘more IS more’ ethos, the styling of the shoot brought the autumnal ‘dirty’ tones and AGR neons to life with over-the-top accessories and furry shoes.

In its entiriety the ‘Creativity is Power’ collection uses colour, meaningful messaging and the

timeless Smiley logo to encourage the setting of positive intentions for the changing seasons.
