AGR’s AW20 Collection continues the brands fascination and love for stripes, patterns and textures. Progressing from her 2019 Capsule, this season has been particularly influenced by grunge and punk culture. From cosy yet grungy graphic brushed mohair jumpers to her statement cotton striped ribs, this collection pushes knitwear and textiles out of traditional conventions, unique to AGR. The brands infamous dyed cargo pants, have been elevated with hand dying, bleaching and screen printing and also developed into other woven garments. Furthermore, this season has again, given a nod to Alicia’s love of Lycra with exciting, new womenswear dresses and tanks. These pieces are overloaded with intricate lace work and bold colour arrangements which ooze sex appeal, echoing AGR’s ongoing love for Nottinghill Carnival. AGR AW20 has been captured in the recent campaign shoot, informed by movement, music and vibing with friends. The shoot was inspired by old school Benneton ads with powerful stances and group shots. Models were chosen for their energy and character, reflecting the vibrant ethos of AGR. Alicia wanted to represent true diversity through bold looks and personalities that matched the clothes.
